Space Invaders: The Movie

This video is the first in what’s meant to be a continuing series of Atari 2600 Theatre shorts. I just love the idea of adding a “story” to these simple little games with their primitive, clunky graphics. Hey, it’s a great way to save money on special effects! At the end of Space Invaders: The Movie, the Narrator mentions Dig Dug as the next sequel, but that’s not set in stone yet. I’m also considering doing Burger Time or Donkey Kong next. What do you think? I want to take an informal poll: Let me know which other Atari 2600 games you’d like to see dramatized. I have access to all the old titles: Pitfall, Combat, Pong, Super Breakout, Frogger, Centipede, etc.
