Chris Farah
Chris was born at 5:35 pm on March 7th in the valley. It was a long laborious situation and, true to form, she doesn't remember a thing. Her parents moved to the O.C. and then divorced leaving her with no siblings but with a wealth of isolated free time.
She was an imaginative child, bossy on occasion. Being from a rather large Syrian-Lebanese family she would put on skits with her multitude of cousins. Then she went to high school where she started waxing her eyebrows (THANK ALLA!) and listening to Fiona Apple and thus blossomed into a woman. Around the same time, she got into music theatre and thus became one of "those" kids. This is around the time people started telling her she was funny. Of course, it went straight to her head.
College came and went. Friends were made, hearts were broken, and people threw up. Plays opened, books were read, classes skipped, and all-nighters pulled. After graduation she decided to make the long pilgrimage from Playa del Rey to West Hollywood. Along the way she learned valuable life lessons and found a) out who she really was, more specifically someone prone to getting parking tickets (and rather lazily paying them, ahem) and b) affection from many a gay man (she's still working on the Russian Jewish population).
She studies and performs at The Upright Citizen's Brigade theatre, as well as Get Mortified where actors, writers and other crazy people read ridiculous things they wrote as dorky kids, and can be currently seen on her couch watching tivo and wondering how the poor people are living.
In her free time she enjoys wordplay, defying stereotypes and listening to tapes on her stereo. Even though she was raised as an only child, she delights in sharing and fears being alone! To combat the negative portrayal of Arab-Americans in the media, she orders Hummus at California Pizza Kitchen with an accent and always makes sure to doubly tip her server. And finally as a Los Angeles citizen, she walks outside sometimes.
